Whistler Glass specializes in the installation of custom commercial entranceways. Examples of our work can be found in most hotels and lodges in Whistler as well as many retail outlets.
Storefront Windows
The typical storefront windows shown above feature a custom charcoal colour. The client chose door hardware with an opposite finish of clear anodized to act as an accent. The doors look nice at 8 feet tall instead of the standard height of 7 feet. Curtainwall windows at the rear of the building were installed because they will be subjected to direct weather (no deck or roof overhang above). The windows are 1” sealed units with low-e glass for higher energy performance.
LEGENDS HOTEL
The front entrance installed in the Legends Hotel features sliding oversized glass doors are motion activated.
APARTMENT IN CREEKSIDE
This new apartment was built in Creekside. Its entrance consists of 40 feet of glass and stone
HORSTMAN HOUSE LODGE
The beautifully designed Horstman House Lodge entranceway consist of thermally broken aluminum frames, automatic handicap access, and custom black finish. Designer sandblasting is featured on the door glass.
THE CRYSTAL LODGE
The Crystal Lodge is located in Whistler Village. Whistler Glass supplied and installed all the glass for this project. The tower above consists of private residences and ground level is retail. All the storefront glass is custom colour with insulated solid panels at the bottom of the frames.
Upstairs we installed aluminium framed swing patio doors along with the windows as well as privacy screens of glass outside on the balconies to separate the different units.
WHISTLER MOUNTAIN TICKET WINDOW
Pictured here are the ticket windows at Whistler Mountain. Notice how cleverly the glass was cut to accept the metal turnstiles and other hardware.
WHISTLER KIDS
This commercial storefront features wide-stile storefront doors with offset D-pull handles and commercial glazing on the transom lites over top.
