THE STEAM ROOM

It is becoming more and more popular to combine the shower and steam room into one unit. To do this, the glass must be fixed to both top and bottom of the enclosure. You can see examples of this in the pictures below. Having the shower stall double as a steam room makes practical sense but also opens up the traditional sauna letting in light.

The arched transom shown in some of the images at right are installed by grouting directly into the tile-work above the hinged glass door. See detail below.

The third image features an arch top steam shower door with heavy glass  panel and door with prima pivot hinges similar to those  shown above. Isn't this a beautiful steam room?
