THE NEO-ANGLE SHOWER

The neo-angle 3-sided ‘all glass’ shower is one of the most popular shower styles. Whistler Glass is able to customize the installation of this design to fit the needs of any home.

One of the challenges of the neo-angle all-glass shower is hanging the door. If the ceiling is low, the side panels are able to attach to the ceiling. This gives strength to the panels and enables them to support the door. If the panels cannot be attached to the ceiling, there is the option of a ‘transom’ or a ‘glass header’. Below you will see all three of these approaches demonstrated.

Often none of the traditional approaches are suitable. In these cases Whistler Glass has many ingenious solutions!

THE NEO-ANGLE TRANSOM

The Neo-Transom shower uses a glass transom above the door. This extra piece strengthens the two side panels allowing them to support the door. Pictured here are several examples of this ingenious approach to all-glass shower design.

Note the distinctive arched transom in the first shower project. This four-panel glass corner shower has become a centrepiece not only for the bathroom but for the entire home.

NEO-ANGLE HIGHSIDES

If it's possible to attach the sides of the all-glass neo-angle shower to a ceiling, this gives strength enough to the two side panels to allow for the weight of the door and hardware.

NEO-ANGLE HEADER

What a beautiful bathroom, shown on the right. The all-glass shower features the tile work and the use of a glass header in the installation of the shower solved the challenge of an open, angled ceiling.

A glass header is often used in all-glass shower design. The header panels strengthen the side panels by tying them together, and yet is part of the all-glass look and appeal. Click on the lower image  to see and enlargement of the header detail.
