The Steam Room



It is becoming more and more popular to combine the shower and steam room into one unit. To do this, the glass must be fixed to both top and bottom of the enclosure. You can see examples of this in the pictures at right. Having the shower stall double as a steam room makes practical sense but also opens up the traditional 'sauna' letting in light.

Notice the pivot hardware used on the door hinge. Click the thumbnails to see the hardware with the door closed and open.

 

The dedicated steam room pictured in our next two images at right has two separate arched entranceways. These arched glass doors have a transom lite  installed by grouting directly into the tile-work above the hinged glass door. Click on the thumbnail below to see a closeup of this arched transom lite.



Our next pictures feature an arch top steam shower door with heavy glass  panel and door with prima pivot hinges similar to those  shown above. Isn't this a beautiful steam room?
